Sarajevo’s sports infrastructure has made a major leap forward with the installation of a modern air dome, providing athletes with a year-round facility.
A key feature of this project is the integration of the air dome with an existing building. This complex connection required precise engineering to ensure both structural stability and seamless functionality between the two structures.
The design of the air dome also includes panoramic windows and a sky window in the membrane, allowing natural light to flood the interior, creating a brighter and more inviting atmosphere. These architectural features enhance the overall experience for athletes and spectators alike.
In addition, the project is equipped with advanced mechanical equipment, including heat pumps, which ensure the ideal temperature year-round. These heat pumps are crucial for maintaining comfortable conditions during the cold Sarajevo winters and hot summer months, allowing athletes to train and compete in a controlled environment regardless of the weather outside. The powerful equipment installed regulates temperature, humidity, and air quality, ensuring optimal conditions for sports activities.
