Situated high above the London skyline, on the rooftop of a parking garage in Wapping, a cutting-edge transparent air dome was successfully engineered and installed by DBS Engineering in collaboration with ES Global Solutions and Gainsbury and Whiting, for the purpose of a once in a lifetime fashion show. This state-of-the-art dome is made out of a completely translucent membrane that is reinforced by steel cables. Since the fabric of this unique structure is translucent, spectators of the fashion show could enjoy both views of the fashion designs while simultaneously being in awe of the spectacular London city skyline. DBS’ latest project is a testament to the long years of experience that our engineers and technicians have and sets a precedence in the field of air dome design and development.
